Hearing about other people’s trauma can affect practitioners. This webinar gives practitioners, supervisors and managers a clear, current understanding of vicarious trauma: how it develops, how it can affect work and home life, and the evidence on what helps protect against it. It is the one-hour companion to our half-day Vicarious Trauma workshop.
By completing this webinar, you will be able to:
Describe how vicarious trauma develops and who is at risk
Recognise the early signs in yourself and colleagues
Identify 3 practices that build resilience into your working week.
Anyone whose work exposes them to others’ trauma. This includes clinicians, frontline and support staff, supervisors and managers across health, community and justice settings.
This live online webinar is delivered via Zoom and runs for 60 minutes, with a 45-minute presentation followed by 15 minutes of moderated questions. The session is recorded and added to the Webinar Library. A short completion quiz follows the session, and a certificate showing CPD hours is issued when you complete the quiz.
